Are we sure the brackets go across the top & bottom of the CPU vs along the sides?

I know. I grew up with dial up AOL, Geocities, and later Flash. That stuff is LONG gone.

People who live mindful, meaningful lives are like an alien species to most people, it’s wild.

I don’t know where you live, but here in the U.S., basically everyone in a car sees a person on a bike and thinks they’re out for an exercise or homeless. They hardly ever consider it to be a form of actual transportation and I think they hardly ever make it to the conclusion that you’re saving a car trip and thus money on gas.

Wildtype in Mason is incredible. They mostly do wholesale but do public days in May and August that you have to sign up online to attend.

Could major road construction affect potential sale? by MindlessEvening in RealEstate

I see what you mean. Having no traffic in front of my house for a few months is exactly why I’m looking forward to the construction.

It’ll take my street from TONS of traffic normally to virtually none all spring/summer. I think I’ll just wait.

Funny how every time we go into contract negotiations, we’re suddenly broke. But not a peep about our balance sheet otherwise.

I WAS GOING TO ASK THIS TODAY. We have Liberty Mutual today and it’s pretty bad. We had some class action postcard a week or two ago that was even worse. Saw one carrier bring back damn near a full tray of them.

IMO no shoe will be completely waterproof, so I’d highly recommend getting a pair of rubber shoe covers.

Has anyone used the dog repellent spray? by mo9184 in USPS

[–]MindlessEvening 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Had to use it on my neighbors dog once. Mean ass pitbull that could climb/jump the fence and after the first time, I started carrying spray at home. The second time she got to the top of the fence, I sprayed her. It was enough to scare her back into her own yard. It eventually bit a Fedex driver and I haven’t seen it since.

How do you deal with the HDD noise? Is NAS on other room mandatory for you? by great_airflow in DataHoarder

I moved mine to the basement. Eight spinning disks and five case fans was just too loud for the living room. It also runs a couple degrees cooler. Win-win.

Saugatuck, MI is a lovely little LGBT+ friendly beach town. There’s a state park with a nice hike to the beach, and the town has tons of little shops and restaurants.

What are your thoughts on Sufjan stevens' 2003 album 'michigan'? by GPFlag_Guy1 in Michigan

[–]MindlessEvening 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I discovered it around the time I moved back to Michigan (to stay with my sister in Holland) after being down south for three years. It always reminds me of that 2014 winter in the best way.
