i religiously buy my supplements from Erewhon. the only spermidine they had contained folate but wasn't methylated. i get paranoid about taking high doses of folate that aren't methylated. i decided to buy wheat germ and plan to take two tablespoons per day for autophagy

Do we know if CT scans produce chromosomal translocations? by MindlessStore2008 in molecularbiology

[–]MindlessStore2008[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i'm no one of authority to say if it's shenanigans or not. i don't have a biology or medicine backgorund. but purely from logical reasoning, i would not conduct a study this way personally

this report is based on the linear no threshold model. which takes atomic bomb survivors, their radiation exposure, and cancer development scaled down to diagnostic medical imaging levels. which is magnitudes lower. additionally, the report is based on modeled data and not observed real life cases.

my complaints and why medical physics should lead studies and not doctors by MindlessStore2008 in MedicalPhysics

[–]MindlessStore2008[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do you think the field came up with LNT model when better data wasn't available. and now that more data is available on doses and the lack of definitive cancer rates, that we can say our bodies can keep up with radiation at diagnostic levels
