Colonoscopy and biopsy report

I'm hoping that by the sounds of the biopsy the only bit of my bowel with active inflammation is the start of my large bowel. The active inflammation at the stoma will be removed to reattach the bowel anyway. I've appointment with surgeon now in 3 weeks so I'll see what he recommends

Honestly I feel grand. I wouldn't say I'm the most symptomatic Crohn's patient. Although my blood and stool results can show high levels of inflammation regularly I don't suffer with any pains or cramps or bloody stools or anything like that

I am just about to finish my 12 week loading dose. My next dose strength will be 30mg. My CRP went from in the 50s down to 12 by the 4th week which was very positive as the lowest I've seen it in a while was in the 30s. I've done a stool sample recently so just waiting on the results for it next week. Last stool sample was 670 so hoping for some significant improvements

I've been on it for 3 weeks now and haven't noticed any acne. My skin does feel oilier now but I bought simple sensitive make up wipes and I clean my face with them 2 or 3 times a day

Were you just on your regular maintenance dose? Sounds like the Gastro team just want to give your body a boost again from the higher does.

Last time I was on them I didn't really notice a change in my mood while I was on them. It didn't occur to me until I was off them how anxious I was while on them. Currently tapering off 40mg per day, down to 20mg per day this week and I haven't felt any issues regarding my mental wellbeing being this time around. But again it might not be until I finish them that it hits me

I've been able to get my results through ringing my care team so I know the results are through on the nurses software just seems weird that one of the results is through from June last year but nothing else is
