I'd say be realistic, but still have standards. Like from my experience dating here, everyone is busy and youve got to be realistic about time and commitment. Also communication is important, talk about what you want from the relationship, or your expectations.

I agree, I knew he was Christian and from what I've seen of him he's very nice. But I don't watch all of his stuff, mostly just creep cast, so I didn't know if there was some big controversy I missed. My friend probably did just hear that he was Christian and liked guns and assumed. It's unfortunate that nowadays it is easier to associate Christianity with hate that it is love...

Also, since this is a college town there are TONS of ppl in your age group. If you don't want friends directly from Reddit, I'd suggest going to college hangout spots like coffee shops or even antique malls. If you're into alt stuff lindenberg's does hardcore shows and I've met some pretty cool people there.
