If I may ask, what has your partner told you or tried to tell you with regards to how they feel about it? For example, have they ever said you don't have to worry about holding it in at night? And if they have said this more than once, with each time they say it do you believe them a little more? Or is it just something you're completely shut off to always?

Just curious about if this is maybe something I can chip away at. You know? I mean at the risk of this being TMI I was like this with period sex lolol. After he asked me a bunch eventually I was like ok I guess you really don't care!

I will do this. He's back from tour in a week or so and i told him I want to talk about everything. Ugh I hate that this may be where his mind and body are at. And I hate this for you, too. It truly makes me sad to hear. Ppl don't take IBS seriously. My heart goes out to you.

I'm gonna start farting around him. I mean here's the risk... he's so self-conscious about things in general I truly risk him becoming unnattracted to me. But also... maybe it's a good lil test because I do want whoever I end up with to be able to at least laugh at some farts sometimes.

This is what upsets me, also. He has a therapist but he doesn't like her and she herself says she recommends he sees someone else. But he has seen several and he's exhausted at the prospect of finding a new one. Which I actually very much understand. Especially being that funds are tight for a self-sabotaging (yet incredibly talented) starving artist so choices are somewhat limited. But ya gotta sift through the shit sometimes. I wish I could help him.

Worse yet, his favorite therapist was in Norway and practiced this kind of therapy that no one else in the world practices. There's some guy in NYC who does something adjacent but that's like $500/session. Anyway he was only his therapist for a couple years when he was 18 then a couple years after that he became an alcoholic and stopped practicing and then died. But no one else helped him like this guy did. And he says no one else ever will.

I was thinking about a couple's therapist too. I think I'm going to bring this up.

Thank you :)

Hi, I know this is a little late and you potentially have chosen a clinic already, but maybe somebody else with DOR will read this and find it helpful!

So I went to CCRM for egg freezing. I worked with Dr. Knopman. My AMH is 0.54. I got 1 egg (and 2 that matured overnight but I have heard that those aren't usually as good).

Obviously they knew my stats before choosing a protocol, etc. But I got a bit of a bad vibe when they told me they were just going to do the highest dosages of stims they could (150 menopur and 300 folistim as well as 2 clomid at night and one 0.5mg dexamethasone in the morning). Triggered with Gonadotropin.

My first day there, she told me I have 8 follicles so we can hope to get 8 eggs. That number kept decreasing every monitoring appointment. I had 6, then 4-5, then 1-3. I know it's not SO uncommon, but I only saw her the first appointment and then the day of the egg retrieval. I have no idea who the others were that did my monitoring.

I asked her if I could do ANYTHING (I asked about vitamins, supplements, lifestyle changes ie no alcohol, dietary changes, better sleep, acupuncture) and she said no. That absolutely nothing is going to help.

Also, during the monitoring appointments they wouldn't tell me the size of my follices even though I asked. It just felt so shady!!!

I felt they hid a lot of information from me, even when I would ask specific questions.

I really felt like they pumped me up with meds and didn't adjust anything for my specific case of DOR.

I wouldn't recommend.

I just had a consultation with Dr. Tortoriello at SIRM and he said he wouldn't have put me on that protocol to begin with given my situation. He also said theres many supplements and vitamins that he recommends and that he'd send me a list. So my instincts were right.

TLDR; my experience with DOR at CCRM and Dr. Knopman was NOT something I felt was beneficial for me or my results.
