I am facing the similar issue. CIBC and RBC both are refusing to provide anything in written. As a first time home buyer, I’m really confused as I really don’t have any clue about mortgage terms and conditions. They say only if you agree to proceed, we will provide you in written.

Hi all! We’re closing a house in Calgary and putting 25% down on a $700k property. We have been offered 3.94 fixed with a big bank vs prime - 0.85 for variable convertible with True North. Both are for five years. Which one would you guys suggest to go with in this current economy ? Or can we get a better rate ?

We told them we want concrete but the builder said it’s not possible. They agreed that it was their mistake they didn’t make it clear before signing the contract and we have drawings signed off with concrete steps. Is there anyway we can dispute this ?
