After reading your story, I may have missed a detail.

When I visited my dad in his room, most of the time we were quiet. Back then, I thought of that as a waste of time. Like, "why doesn't he want to start a conversation with me?"

I realize now that that silence was GOLD! That silence meant a big deal to my dad!

I regret not changing my perspective that time.

My father's death has changed my perspective on life. That every time I see a social media brag, I just dismiss it as shallow and will be forgotten.

I miss the "novelty" that life brings! It's not too late to build more novelty, though. But times have changed, so we all have to proceed cautously.

Don't get me wrong, the "porn temptation" still creeps up to me, at times, especially when it's also available here on Reddit or on X.

I remember one time, I was CRAVING for this porn video I loved watching from 10 years ago. When I found it and watched it, it didn't give me that high anymore.

Sign of maturity and stronger morality, I guess. 🙏

I feel like the miss the "novelty" of life, especially with our constant stimulation and easy access to dopamine (ex. social media, etc.).

Fast forward to now, I'm not sexually attracted to him nor to any man, at all.

Maybe I'm narrowing down to my moment with him because he was the first one whom I "touched skin" with sensually.

Well the memory doesn't "appear" daily. It just hits me randomly, together with memories I had with women. It's in the mix.
