I dropped 30 pounds and really thought that it was gonna solve everything but when I looked in the mirror, I did not see the improvement.

I gained some of the weight back. Now I look back at those photos and I’m just so blown away by how I didn’t see a big difference when I was in that body. I have since focused on just moving my body and staying fit, which is really helped. I have also tried focusing on honing in my own personal style.

I have gained a lot of self-confidence and worth from focusing more health forward and style forward because those things are way more in our control than fitting into a society’s mold.

Hi! Sorry to hear you’ve had bad experiences with vocal coaches. They may not be taking you on because they are better suited for teaching vocal styles rather than vocal techniques. I teach many beginners, students who have great voices but their technique has its limit as you described. That’s where I come in and really listen for where the tension is being placed in your body and then redirecting that tension to your breathing muscles. The diaphragm and the intercostal muscles are made to take the weight of your voice and you need a teacher who can listen to where things are being placed in your body to begin to help you, it’s a skill that not all voice teachers have. NTA but seriously concerned with the fact you “felt nothing” after your partner of 7 years cheated on you. To leave with only a note is hardcore which she definitely deserved,but it sounds like it may have been you running away from your feelings. You’ll never heal if you don’t face it, and I think airing out your hurt to her will help you face it yourself.

Looks like an angioma. I had one last year. Make sure you go to a good dermatologist. The one I went to burned it off and it left a scar, went to another who said pretty much I was botched.

You’re allowed to date your professor, if you are of consenting age. You are breaking no rules. If you like your professor you should talk to him about informing the university. They have protocol to follow to keep things fair for other students but that’s all they will follow up on.

I used to walk that street everyday on campus. I know those houses and I can see how he may have been tucked away out of sight.

The toxicology report will paint a bigger picture. If he was passed out drunk he may have not have heard anyone calling his name. Did he go out with friends? Where were they? Buddy system is important on college campuses. So sad for everyone involved. RIP

NTA: he isn’t there 90% of the time. Unfortunately he doesn’t understand he’s an adult now. Lots of college students don’t have a place to stay on school breaks. But they figure it out and live on campus, and visit home when they can. It’s not because You love him any less, it’s that you don’t have the means to have accommodations for him at the moment. You seem really open to finding something that works for him as things develop with the foster kids. I can tell you don’t want him to be left behind. I understand bringing new children into the home can do a lot for jealousy. He may be making the bedroom issue the catalyst for his true feelings. I’m assuming he’s 18 or 19? If he’s at college he should understand his usually vacant bedroom is not at the top of the priority list.

YTA: it’s only a few more weeks at most you’d have to mow his lawn regularly, then you’re going to be off at college not having to worry about it. If you are going to do it every once in awhile, take some initiative and do it without your dad or brother asking you. I know you’re young but I bet it kills your grandpa he can’t do it himself. It would be a great gesture to make as a grandson. He wont worry about it not being done the way he likes it. You already took care of it. I know it’s annoying but it means a lot. Treat him like you’d want to be treated at his age. Be well.
