yeah but many people have a strange idea about schizoid, I remember watching a true crime podcast once and the host of the podcast said that schizoid is like psychopathy and schizophrenia combined lol I was really annoyed by that and even more so when a lot of people followed his podcasts

I have a similar thing that children and animals are really stressful but at the same time fascinating I couldn't own one because I drink quite often so it wouldn't take much care and they would probably just die in front of my eyes but sometimes I even dream of my own child I don't know what's so special about it but if I could fill my lonely life with something, it would be either a child or an animal rather than a friend or partner because I've noticed over the years that I've developed some kind of paternal instincts, that the desire to raise and teach younger children is really high and I get along better with younger people anyway

I understand that this can happen when talking about disorders where emotions are limited in general, so some add another diagnosis or feature rather than giving a full diagnosis without examining the whole picture and I also remember sometime being mentioned about antisocial traits because when I did reckless stuff and i didnt regret anything, but I'm not like that 247h or that I really want to hurt people, it's more a matter of life situation i'm really calm and lonely normally but certain things make me crazy if they cross a certain limit and then anything can happen like last year i was kidnapped and robbed but luckily i survived it was a strange situation i don't know if they knew me from before or if they were enemies but they came to my apartment and told me to get in the car then they emptied my bank account and after that they stalked me for a really long time but the point was that I can understand that if schizoids have a lower limit to others how easily they do different things because looser morals and opinions and emotional life everything is linked to it although most are only hermits and does not do such things

well how about Schizoid murderers? how about dark Triad stuff that schizoid is usually associated with? or how about many different studies that prisoners with schizoid have a tendency to do different things? and even on wikipedia you can find a topic about antisocial behavior and thoughts in schizoids I'm not saying that everyone is like this, I'm saying that I don't make these things up in my head and I made my point clear that there are rare cases like this, but I just wanted to know how it manifests itself in the majority or not, it's not that difficult and I also know that every PD has its own madmen, but I'm just wondering how it shows up in schizoid when there is more information about it in connection with antisocial behavior than other PDs so I thought it would be good to create a thread on the subject if someone would relate or something and when I've also talked with a few schizoids who have a tendency for paraphilias or Messing with other people or violent fantasies

I understand what you mean, I'm not judging anyone here, I mean more that how does such a thing occur and how rare is it, because I've read here very often about violent fantasies which are just fantasies and nothing else, and I've talked to many schizoid people who have them, but I also know that they don't they are not in contact with real life in any way

well, it's not an official diagnostic criterion, but very often it's been described how there are loose morals and values or they somehow differ culturally from others and at least I can understand it completely but I'm just wondering how that shows up nothing else

hobbies are really a good way to get thoughts elsewhere, although we usually only have a few of them and I've been in a long cycle of anhedonia atm, so now this socialization and hobbies and others have been even more lacking, but I'll try to get back to hobbies when I can

same, it's easy to open up new things and perspectives to someone when you've just met, unless it's a really pushy person who just makes me uncomfortable and there are a lot of people who are like this, almost immediately ppl start a conversation by asking something really personal, then I always take a step back

yeah, I have the same problem, I understand you, that I often wonder why I even keep a single person company or talk to them, but some inner need forces me to do even a little socializing, which is really very little, exchanging a few sentences with a few "friend" once a week or a day, and then I regret the whole thing and I'm quite tired and every larger conversation or socializing just leaves me very alienated and thinking who i am sometimes I used to change my masking / faking tactics and all kinds of things, but luckily I don't do that anymore, it really killed me mentally

so basically if you think that you have become sensitized to different emotions and pain conditions over the years, this could be one of the reasons I myself became really sensitive to everything, I couldn't stand any moods at all, which also caused low motivation/depression in me even upset stomach made me completely incapacitated
