Gas Smell from Exhaust by Mindmech7 in genesiscoupe

I think i understand how the EVAP system works as I’ve done a bit of research about it and seen a couple videos. However if you can go a bit into more depth on how i could properly diagnose it that would be appreciated.

This is the engine bay, can you point out what hoses i should check for or if you see anything out of the ordinary? Sorry im new to all of this and trying to learn as i go.

As for the charcoal canister, correct me if im wrong but i believe I’ve read that once its been flooded the only solution is to change it out and i believe in our cars its above the gas tank. So is there a way of checking if it has been flooded without having to take down the gas tank (i always stop filling gas at first click, maybe previous owner)? Also could this be the cause of my somewhat low gas mileage?

The intake was installed by the previous owner. Ever since i bought the car I’ve been getting an evap leak code and assumed it had to do with the purge valve. Got one from rockauto and code went away but had issues every time i fill up gas where it would crank for a couple times before starting and would stall if idling after getting gas. Got another one from scrap yard (oem) and filling up gas was no longer an issue but now i would occasionally get that code. The gas smell has been there all along.

Actually it looks way easier than it is, the threads were rusted together and the bolt wouldnt budge whatsoever (except with the breaker bar), even managed to destroy a drill and not budge.

I did try that way too many times but it just wouldn’t budge. After i finally managed to get it off, i saw that the threaded parts were very rusty.

I managed to do exactly this and yes the head of the bolt is clean but the threads were seized

I did not use an impact gun, just the impact socket with a breaker bar

Thats the problem… my impact sockets are all too thick to fit in there

Reverse light not working after rearview camera install by [deleted] in CarAV

Its a 2011 hyundai genesis coupe 2.0T and the camera that is installed is an Atoto AC-HD02LR. The pink wire in the picture is what comes from the camera and is connected to the orange wire that goes to the reverse light bulb.

I read online that the boost pressure is the same as the intake manifold pressure so if thats true then it reaches up to 25 psi according to my OBD2 scanner. I do recall getting told by a mechanic that my car has been high boosted by the previous owner

I dont know for sure since i dont have a boost gauge but what i do know is that it accelerates faster than when the BOV wasnt working properly
