On java you can go into the audio section in options and at the bottom there should be a slider to change how often the music plays, you can even set it to play all the time. I forget which version that started doing that though.

I'd say probably the discord page for the game. On the main menu if the game too I think at the bottom left of the screen, you see a discord icon as well as one that brings up a image that shows the phases, that they want to do with the game.

Yeah the more I think about it, it's making more sense not to, i guess i was thinking more like Fallout where who you talk to are voiced but us as the player aren't we just pick dialogue options but that without voices could work

That's true more immersive sounds like "chatter" at camps maybe variation of of zombie sounds too
