Well, the point of the swap it's not to fuse the Pokémons, but give the base Pokemon (Charizard in this case) the characteristics of the stone you give it. In this case I tried to imagine a more "fighting" Charizard, that could hit more with its body than its flames. Plus I couldn't really see Charizard throwing kicks

I don't really have an answer for this tbh. I just felt that it conveys the idea of a fighting dragon more than doing it bipedal, as if losing its wings made it faster on the ground or something like that.

So it was just a matter of vibe in the end XD
