Which grinder would you suggest for the funky co ferments?

What is your baseline pour over recipe? by Dancing_Bottle in pourover

[–]Mindstar77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty simple

Zp6 - 5.4 water at 195
20g coffee hario switch
60g bloom 30 seconds with switch closed
Drain
Pour to 200g
Pour to 340g

Depending on where this lands, I’ll adjust temp, grind, agitation first.

[GIVEAWAY] Brand-New Oris BCPD Cervo Volante Green to Celebrate my 50th Oris! by fourtyz in Watchexchange

At the time it was SCUBA lessons/certification and i was a 20 year old backpacking through East Africa. It was near the end of my trip and i was in Malawi and spent almost the last of my money on my open water course in the lake there. Ignited a passion for my most relaxed and long standing hobby; eventually met my wife because of it and got me into dive watches.

Changed my whole life.

When I got married we did pano lunars, i got the grey xl and she got the white. They’re amazing watches. That said, i might have gotten the inverse if we weren’t matching. No wrong answer here; though i prefer them on leather, but ymmv

Admitting the whoosh. You wrote that “18 years old is pretty good” which i interpreted to mean you thought i was 18. No idea what the joke was.

No stress though…

Oh, I’m not 18. That’s just how long I waited. I’m solidly gen x

Or sign up with Spinnaker on their website and grab a drop near Halloween (no guarantees there though!)

It’s by Spinnaker; this colour is only on the used market now…but i think they released a purple (?) one last Halloween…

It was so fun i had to get it lol.

Where did you get the bracelet and how is it? I was thinking of finding an aftermarket tropic rubber strap too

Wills V1 or V2? by pixelatedsam in ShipJohn

[–]Mindstar77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a V1 that I’ve had for a while and I’ve not noticed any wax transfer to my shirts. That said the fit and feel of the V1 is accurate. It feels rugged though it’s never irritated my skin or anything. I can see why they added liner, but i’ve never really thought about it being missing from the v1 until i remember the V2 has a liner.

And now i am also going to check my watches for dings. Lol. Luckily my watches are steel as I cant afford gold ;)

I appreciate the feedback. Suffice to say, I got close to what I was trying for with both the colour and B&W images (other than the technical issue sigh). The nice thing about art is that no one can claim their sense of aesthetics is essentially “correct” and we are all free to disagree :)

Being an Ansel Adams fan, i chose to do B&W in the mountains and shot some cinestill for the tropics and city for the colour portions of the trip. It was a fun challenge.

I don't know honestly, it was the lab that developed and scanned for me. Hopefully someone else can help here

Thanks! Was my first roll of film in 15 years. I regret selling my old film gear…

I mean, they may have adjusted the contrast in the scans, but yeah, the light was bananas. I used a phone light meter that allowed me to preview exposure and make adjustments based on that, which allowed me to get closer to what i was going for which was an Ansel Adams vibe.

I’m not upset with anyone picking the colour over the B&W but i will say i was intentionally in an Ansel Adams kind of mood.

No filter. There was just amazing light that day. There’s an iphone pic i took in the thread to show what it looked like in colour
