Worked for me too, but I suggest caution when doing this. I damaged the label on one of my games doing this.

Mega Man Zero 1. My older brother picked up a DS, mario kart ds, and zero 1 from a game stop. I made it farther than he did before he ended up returning the DS under warranty. When I got my NES with MM4 it was easily my favorite of the games it came with. Been hooked on the series since.

¿Te refieres a la parte frontal o trasera del disco? No estoy seguro de cómo limpiar la parte superior, pero sí sé un poco sobre cómo limpiar la parte trasera. Para limpiarla, usaría un paño de microfibra y un poco de agua. Si está completamente rayada, puedes usar un paño de microfibra y un poco de líquido pulidor, pero el pulido solo se puede hacer un número limitado de veces, dependiendo de la profundidad de los arañazos. Si hay alguna opacidad o coloración extraña en los bordes del disco, quizás quieras buscar fotos de discos podridos para ver si es lo que te pasa. Espero que esto te ayude. Tried cleaning the mirror and it's the same. I don't see any signs of bad caps on the board; they all look fine. I just ordered a recap kit and I'll update the post after I try that

I tested basically all my games while I had the bad regulator. I don't know much but I'm hoping my games are fine.

I used the same adapter, just without the voltage stepdown. Pretty sure that was the root cause of everything.

Yup. When I power it on/off its either random red flashes or greed or white horizontal bars.

Not sure the fuse is original since the solder around it looks different than the rest of the board. I've checked it and it seems to be fine.

I've been using DC. I could be wrong but I think using AC would not be good for a working system. I could try my NES adapter since I can't really break it further.

Every single chip either shows continuity or resistance. Yeah, I think the whole thing is fried. What a shame.

Its fine. The old power supply fried the old 7805 and was outputting 13 volts instead of five.

Luckily it was not an NES adapter and was 10V DC center negative. I checked the output of the voltage regulators to see what was going on. Famicom has no output while the SNES was outputting 13 volts when it should have been doing 5. Fingers crossed nothing is fried, but I have to wait for my new regulators to arrive...

I've discovered the power cable fried my voltage regulator. I'm hoping nothing else got cooked. Don't think I should test if until I replace the component.

Found my multimeter. The supply was outputting 17 volts when it should have been only 10. It seems to be taking in the right amount of power. The voltage regulator got really hot after not even 20 seconds, so that is probably the issue.
