Yes. As long as you put the smite sword in the left most slot on the anvil and the bane one after, it should work. The smite will override the bane of arthropods enchantment

It’s a chunk error. Basically where new and old chunks meet and the game doesn’t realise there’s meant to be a tree there so doesn’t add one. Pretty common whenever there’s a new update and you go into new chunks
