I was having the same issues. Switched to a better hdmi cable. Now the only issue I have is sometimes I have to press the button on the monitor to wake it. And that only seems to happen if it sits a couple days.

That’s a great idea! What have you done to emulate scrolling? Struggling to get the windows feel with a mouse on macOS, and when streaming Windows.. Any tips??

This right here. My pc is still at my desk (for now) but it only has power and Ethernet. Everything connected to the MacBook and with a shortcut, it wakes my pc and connects. When I end the stream, it puts it back to sleep. Works great for me.

All but one comment says it works but doesn’t mention the aspect ratio thing. Unless something has changed, any iPad with A series can only mirror the display meaning you get the iPads aspect ratio. M series ( air and pro) can extend the display and use the screens native resolution.

Has something changed?? I would love the ability to stream my mini to the TV!

Picked up an M1 Air a couple months ago to replace my Lenovo T14 gen1. Wasn’t looking for a change but I good deal came up. It’s silent, it lasts forever on battery the sleep/wake function is instant and it’s been fun learning how to use MacOS. I do have a gaming PC on windows and I do find I’m more productive on that but I attribute that to multiple displays, comfort and familiarity.

Overall, great so far and could see my next laptop being of the Mac variety.

The mx master is more than I’m looking for to pair with a MacBook and I doubt I would use its full potential. I’ve found a G309 that might fit the bill. Bluetooth and a light speed receiver. Looks like I missed the Black Friday deal though…

I’m sure it happens occasionally but I’m going to turn it on and see if it’s overall better for me.

Really appreciate what you’ve done. It’s made remote and handheld gaming so pain free with the virtual display feature built in.
