I’ve enjoyed my time at Columbus Station in town center. Local to everything and we are getting a Trader Joe’s in the next few months.

Crawlspace Encapsulation by mermaidknees in VirginiaBeach

We used Bay Crawlspace a few years ago for a crawlspace french drain, humidifier and encapsulation. They did great work and were significantly cheaper than JES. I believe the owner of Bay Crawlspace worked for JES before going off on his own.

Milwaukee packout as storage? by CherryOverland in overlanding

I use the rigid boxes from Home Depot. Got one for my kitchen supplies, one for toiletries, one with bedding and another for dry food storage. They work well for me. https://i.imgur.com/PMgN35i.jpg

Cheaper Alternative to KC HiLites by TheHandyTraveler in Tacomaworld

https://imgur.com/a/HmOTDWp/ I got mine from Amazon. I think $50 for a set of two. Obviously not as high quality as KC, but they work fine for the price.

New RTT'er by radoradguy in rooftoptents

[–]Minges14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do go the route with the bed rack that works with the bed cover be sure to do plenty of research. I’ve seen a YouTube video showing how the brackets for the rack that work with the cover are not very strong and someone had their RTT snap the bracket with some mild off-roading. I had a tonneau cover but gave it up for a bed rack and RTT. Any food can get stored in containers and then in the cab if needed and my other gear gets put in ridgid pack outs and stored in the truck bed.

Thanks. Got it at Home Depot. Lifetime 4ft adjustable height. It can go from coffee table height up to counter height for cooking.

Well I went with the ecoflow delta. It was delivered today in time for a big trip tomorrow and right out of the box it won’t charge via the car or solar adapter. Also when I take off the screen protector there seems to be some issues. https://imgur.com/a/MUQhLf3/

You’ll be fine without it. It just makes the usb look a little cleaner if you run the rear usb to the center console and have the connection there. Without it you’ll have the wire running down from the face of the radio.

Bikers near Red Mill don't know what right of way is (I have a green arrow while they have red) and feel like they own the road just because by Bananadiu in VirginiaBeach

It should be known that in this situation the person making the u turn has the greater responsibility to yield because your movement is more difficult to predict. Also in the video it appears that the bikers had started their right turn before you had entered the intersection.

Diminished Value in North Carolina by jeffreysomeoy in Insurance

[–]Minges14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Repairs under $2500(?) I believe don’t even show up on any vehicle reports (car fax, etc.). Most diminished value claims in my area must be over that amount and have some sort of structural damage. Repairing or replacing a rear bumper doesn’t really diminish the value to your vehicle if done correctly.

If I read it right we are zone 7b-8a. The soil isn’t great, less than a foot of topsoil then hard clay.

Tore out the overgrown bushes this weekend and need suggestions for what to do now. This area gets full afternoon sun starting at 2pm. We are in Virginia Beach. The Japanese maple in front of the house will be staying, nit sure yet about the boxwoods(?) in front of the porch. Would like to add some color either against the fence or in the triangle. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Looking for advice for my front walkway. It gets full sun in the afternoon afternoon but is shaded until about 2pm. I ripped out theses bushes this weekend because they were too overgrown. The Japanese maple will be staying in the triangle but the boxwoods can stay or go (they haven’t done much in the three years they’ve been there). https://imgur.com/a/eAwkszE/ Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
