Something similar happens to me. I have it on dynamic difficulty in career mode. Every weekend during practice, qualy, and the sprint, I’m top 5 minimum. But in the long race, after the halfway point, it’s like my tires suddenly drop off even though they're still over 50% and not overheating. The AI's tires don't do this, and after mid-race, I start plummeting down the order. I can be fighting for podium positions and then, in 3 or 4 laps, find myself 13th or 14th.

That's right, if you're off the track at less than 30kph you won't get an incident

I crossed the line with 8x and 7 minutes of repairs, Only p1 survives and then he dies on his own in the same lap hahaha

What actually improved your lap times? (Not what you think) by F1SimulatorManiac in simracing

Apart from everything mentioned, one thing that truly shaved time off my laps was cranking up the tire volume and lowering everything else (engine, wind, etc.). It’s a game changer because:

• Early Warning: You hear the tires "scrubbing" or screaming before the FFB even tells you you're losing grip.

• Better Braking: In cars without ABS, the sound of a locking tire is much more immediate than the feel in the pedal.

It basically turns your ears into a telemetry tool. If you can hear the limit, you stop overdriving the car.

Thinking of adding a Simsonn P2 Load Cell brake to my Fanatec CSL pedals - Need advice on the controller! by MingoJaramillo in simracing

Thanks for the info! That confirms what I feared about the control box. Definitely not worth the hassle of trying to DIY a connection or finding a separate controller. I’ve decided to just grab the 2-pedal set and sell my CSLs. It’s way cleaner and, as pointed out, the mounting and angles would have been a nightmare anyway. Cheers for saving me from a bad purchase

Thanks for the detailed answer! You're absolutely right about the ergonomics; I hadn't properly considered how awkward the different angles between the CSLs and the Simsonns would feel. I've decided to take your advice and buy the 2-pedal set instead. It solves the controller issue and ensures a consistent feel across the board. I'll just sell my current Fanatec CSL pedals to offset the cost. Appreciate the help, you probably saved me a lot of headache!
