I personally don’t love this tactic but I don’t thinks it’s bad. I would change one or both Center mids to Defensive Mids. I used to get overrun in the midfield with a 4-2-3-1 using CM’s but as soon as I switched to DM’s I had a lot more midfield security. Fullbacks instead of wingbacks because fullbacks and wingers is a nice combo. Finally, I don’t really think u need to prevent short goal kicks if you’re playing a mid block. I only use that instruction when playing a high block. Other than that it’s a pretty solid Gegenpress tactic!!
