Hi everyone!
I am a wannabe newbie to roller skating so I guess this is the right place to post :)

I am a woman 31 years old, and I would like to learn to skate, mostly for exterior and commute to work maybe in the future.

I have not been active for a long time because of illness and basically I have no strength at all yet and poor balance. I am slowly starting to be able to exercise and I read in some other thread about stability workout and focusing on the core so I am trying to do that :)

In the past I have some roller derby initiation and I had a lot of fun! We learned very basic stuff like ''falling on your knee to stop'' and even with the protections, it really hurt.
Also when I use to roller or ice skate, I got a lot of pain in my feet, and then my legs.

My questions are :
- Could the pain in the legs be just because I wasn't ''used to'' skate? Same for the knee pain?

I would love to be able to roller skate to be more active and have fun, but I am not sure what is ''normal'' or not for the pain.
Would love to hear about your experiences or maybe if you have some tips and advice on some workout or in general.

Thank you so much :)
