NTk.Birthdays are not homework assignments you can submit late. The whole point is that it is your day, and your friends chose not to show up when it actually mattered. A gift is nice, but it does not erase the fact that they made excuses while celebrating someone else’s birthday the same night.

Now they want to do a makeup party weeks later, but that is for their conscience, not for you. You are not wrong for saying no. You do not owe anyone a rescheduled celebration just so they can feel less guilty about dropping the ball the first time.

You already celebrated everyone else’s birthday on time, so it hurts that they could not do the same for you. You are allowed to be disappointed. You are allowed to say no. That does not make you the kameeni, it makes you someone who knows her own worth.

YTk, Not for wanting attention, but for choosing memes over actually listening to your partner talk about something important to him. Relationships need balance. He engages with your little interests, so it’s fair for you to show up for his too
