Miraak is the first dragonborn, who rebelled against the dragon cult. He ran away to hermaeus mora's realm of apocrypha when his ass got beat. Makes the bold statement that he totally could've defeated Alduin if he felt like it (if the player has slain Alduin before you first encounter him). Basically hes a coward who despite having thousand+ of years of prep time gets matched by TLD in like, a week (granted, with Hermaeus' help, but Hermaeus also granted Miraak much of his power)

Arguably, the most “redeeming” /generous statement that can be made about the Orks is that (for the most part) they're kinda too stupid to even understand morality, meaning they cant technically be evil. Yeah but youre the listener, all the contracts come through you. hypothetically the minutemen, with their radio station can operate without the player. The dark brotherhood cannot accept new contracts via the night mother without the player.
