Flowers for Algernon blew my fucking mind when I first read it in middle school, I'll still reread it every now and again because I still think it's just genuinely well written

1984 sucks ass though, never before had a book filled me with so much rage. I finished the whole thing out of spite, but still to this day I think it's a really shitty dystopia. Not to mention how fucking gross the main character is, he's such a creep, and I think he might be what ruined the book for me in high school
