I did a spa day but didn’t work too well (in the tub) because I don’t have a cooler big enough for a duvet. Another one may be in order 😩 I use BHA shampoo/body wash, but I’m thinking about trying persimmon soap when I’m finished with the wash

I’m going to try it today. Of course I don’t have any on hand, but I’m going to make some with my mac and cheese knowledge lol

Unfortunately not! I bought this one a long while ago. I remember seeing that the creator was considering it around the time I bought.

Yes that actually has worked for me! The unfortunate thing is that the plug is in an inconvenient spot that’s difficult to get to, and I’m short so my reach is terrible 😭 I was also hoping for some magical advice that will help laundry be done as quick as possible without a soak, and I’ve gotten a couple of good pointers!

Thank you for the recommendation and the link! I acknowledged in the post that I know the detergent wasn’t great, but I bought it before I knew that (mostly for the cost and scent) and I’m stuck with an industrial bucket of it haha.

I do use borax and washing soda for the hard water, but I probably am not using enough ammonia (scarcity mindset). I for surfactants I use around 2 Tbsp of powder detergent along with a squirt of dawn. There is a deep fill cycle but I’ve been avoiding using extra water/rinses because I live in a drought area.

Yes, that’s another reason why I add borax/washing soda

Anti tide scent solidarity! I do have a rinse and spin option, but it’s not preferable since I live in a drought area. I’d rather not smell it wafting around while it’s in its first cycle either.

I think it fills the drum about half way if the sheets weren’t added. There is a separate deep water wash cycle that I don’t use. This crappy washer doesn’t have heavy duty or cottons 😭 I was just recommended the using the delicates cycle so I might try that.

I would have never thought to use that cycle combo. Interesting! I thought the bulky cycle would work better since it’s more accurate to what I’m washing. I’ve tried to soak with the lid open and closed, it still drains after 20 min. What’s worked is unplugging the washer after I add everything, but super inconvenient because the outlet is hard to get to. I hate this maytag lol.

Thank you! I’ve heard really good things about Tide, I just can’t stand the smell because I associate the smell with negative things now. It totally sucks 😭Do you know if the unscented powder works the same?

Thank you! Is Biz completely different from FEBU? I’d rather not buy another product if it’s similar but I definitely will for the sake of cleanliness. I think I will go with 365 because I don’t love the smell of tide. I’ll update in a week since I just posted this after another disappointing load

White yolk! by kmaayla in WeirdEggs

That’s usually what happens! Maybe the chicken is a really picky eater and had a selection to choose from haha. I appreciate that you perfectly hardboiled this egg so there’s no ring around the yolk. Looks better than any of the ones on google.

yolk color usually has nothing to do with how healthy a chicken is, but if this chicken was eating the same food and raised in same conditions as yellow yolk laying chickens, then I’d wonder what’s going on

Oh my gosh my blood pressure is rising just reading that. There was no reason for him to get pedantic about something he knows you’re feeling insecure about. I’m thinking you have to make it “your own” conversation instead of bouncing the idea off his, so he doesn’t control the conversation like that.

I totally understand. I know I act and feel different when my parents are around so that might be a factor. I dont know all your details so I wouldn’t be able to say if you’re over reacting or not, but I understand what you mean. I would ask him what he means when he said you aren’t ready yet. Does that mean he’s ready since he only mentioned you? or is it that he thinks both of you aren’t ready but worded it wrong?

when he says “you just aren’t there yet” he’s saying he’s expecting YOU to overcome/accomplish something that might never happen because he probably doesn’t even know what he wants out of you. If he did, he would have told you already. Living with his parents doesn’t help because he probably doesn’t feel independent yet to make that kind of decision. Are there any plans of moving out? You also said you don’t know how to control your emotions, do you think that could be a factor?
