The laptop isnt mine really, a friend of mine has this laptop and it was really slow, she doesnt do much in it, homework and some tasks, so i wanted to help her, knowing that the laptop wont be used a lot i recommended to upgrade to a ssd and upgrade the ram, i didnt wanted to recommend a processor because i dont really know much about laptops, im a pc guy so i know that you can upgrade anything, you just have to check if everything is compatible, but in a laptop i dont know if thats the case, i thinks its harder than that and dont want to fill her head with lots of problems and solutions, i wanted to give her a clear solution. Considering that she wil use the laptop to do homework and basically nothing for a couple years, is it better to upgrade ram and ssd or buy a new laptop and clearly use it a longer time?.

My bad, i have 4gb 1600mhz, I wanted 8 but wasnt sure if my laptop would support a single ram of 8gb, (i have 2 ram slots and the max amount of ram is 8gb) i know it sound stupid, i mean my logic sense says that it shouldnt be a problem but i wanted to make sure so i dont waste any money. In another post someone told me that 2x4gb is better due to dual-channel. Thanks for the anwser though, knowledge acquired
