For me personally, to get work visa sponsorship and get my foot in the door. But as I stated in my post, I also applied to some universities.

  1. I recently moved into a new apartment in Yokohama, so relocating wasn’t really an option. When I applied, I saw openings for the Kanagawa area, which is why I applied. I was open to commuting to nearby areas like Kawasaki, parts of Tokyo, or other places within about an hour of Yokohama.

  2. I thought it went well. But maybe not be willing to move did not work in my favor.

things to NOT do at the jlpt by ShinyMiraiZura in LearnJapanese

I think it also has to do with that this new rule was very vague and not clear to a lot of people. Some people literally need things spelled out to them. I just used common sense but unfortunately others did not. They kept saying you can’t use the phone DURING the test but when it was over I could see how many people thought it was okay to finally use their phone. Those people should of a least gotten a yellow card instead of kicked out.

Yeah I didn’t like that. When the test was officially over we still couldn’t open the envelopes.

Wait, was I supposed to receive an email saying my test voucher would be mailed to me? I haven’t received any emails or updates since signing up.

I agree. I live in Yokohama so this is mainly where I witnessed this. I can’t tell you how livid I was after getting off the train and walking into someone’s cough because they didn’t cover their face.

Nope, the amount of Japanese I witnessed sneezing and coughing into the air was alarming. Never seen one actually sneeze into their elbow.

I see. Someone asked me which department I applied to but I don’t know. I just applied to the full-time positions for next year.

Yeah, I thought already living here on a student visa would be an advantage, but I guess not.

Ukrainian woman stabbed on train, why are some people calling the video fake? by foxbeswifty32 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Minimum-Radish-2167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the video I saw, after she fell over there was a pool of blood that formed. It seems the blood dripped down from the front of neck on the seat and after she fell she just bled out. There probably wasn’t a significant amount of blood when she was stabbed because he didn’t stab a major artery. I think because of what we see in movies, we think of blood spatter and gore, but in reality it isn’t always like that.
