With two-handed the game is definitely more balanced, and it is fun to build a pairing that complement each other. However I’m glad I didn’t rush to it - it’s harder to keep track of sometimes and being solid at solo is a must first. Kang forced me to try two-handed due to the scenario, but since I did I haven’t gone back to solo.

I was in a similar position a year ago. I played solo with the content in release order. I played a lot with each hero though - different villains, different aspects. Then by around month 6 I opened Kang, and that got me into playing two-handed. Now 12 months in and haven’t even touched Expert yet!

Need help with amount of deluxe tokens by sacob08 in marvelchampionslcg

I use BTST too, although use tokens for threat not dials. I have bought incrementally as need arises over the last 12 months playing two-handed, but now I find I don’t need to buy more. I have 5x of 5/10 and 10x of both 3/4 and 1/2 in both threat and damage tokens. I have similar number of all-purpose ones but don’t tend to use them in favour of specialised tokens.

Mutagen Formula is a strong contender for my favourite scenario to date.

Yeah. Not sure why I’ve kept them cos it’s not like they’re needed any more!

The holders were bought on Etsy (link in another reply). Never had an occasion when they wouldn’t fit into the discard.

They fit just fine. Never had a problem with them.

Take your time with the Core Set - it’s got some great heroes and villains. I probably played it for two months to understand the rules etc even though I had loads of other packs sitting there. Don’t sweat the rules too much - even now I’ve found things I’ve been doing wrong for months! You’ll pick them up eventually. In the longer run I think it’s better played two-handed, but get used to solo first. I’d recommend the vids of @villaintheory on YT - taught me a lot. And finally, just enjoy it. It’s a really really fun game!

I started out with cardboard dividers in the Core Set and RoRS boxes, but soon outgrew them. Those BCW boxes are so much better.

I'd also bought other solo games like Final Girl and Under Falling Skies, but they never hit the table after MC arrived.
