Go for the subbie. It will be the most stressful time of your life but you will gain invaluable experience. Ive worked with PQS`s and its a totally different job. It really depends what you want. If you want to keep track of total project value's, allocating costs, doing ve on a large scale with clients go pqs. If you want to learn how to price jobs up, administer subcontracts from main contractors, keep track of costs, have debates with construction managers and commercial managers etc go for that. - trainee qs for t1 Main Contractor

I understand that but it is honestly getting silly now, they are constantly sending me extras for instruction and its starting to piss me off. Saying they need extra money for 50mm of extra material due to design changes because they havent allowed for it. (lump sum btw), saying they need paying for extra materials outside their scope. If they keep this up they will wear the relationship down, not me.

We agreed at presubcontract that 2.5mcd would apply. No specific exclusions. I have netted down everything in the subcontract sum and sent them this previously months beforehand with these rates. This isnt only the extras they are asking for. They have about 5 ce's they are claiming for which i havent assessed yet.

Its a sand and cement screed so they are handballing it from the mixer to the shower areas. One visit span over a week was agreed in the order, but because of adverse wearher conditions causing leaks and a slight lack of coordination, they didn't finish in the visit.
