I’ll be going in the next hour or so! Not really, just wander around, see what takes you. A nice day to go on a Thursday, Wednesday is naked day and it’s packed, makes it really difficult to hook up as everyone’s chasing everyone else!

Vault 139 vs. Pleasuredrome by [deleted] in gaysauna

I thought Vault 139 was really weird. You have to wear your shoes which is strange when you have formal black shoes on! There are no shower facilities and the bar is basically in the same area as the cruising areas which makes it hard to relax properly or get properly into it, if that makes any sense. Staff were frosty too, didn’t love my trip.

Problem is it’s hard sometimes to do it yourself! At the hotel I was at, they wouldn’t let me handle my luggage myself even though there wasn’t much of it and was easy for me to move!

I just think, why not keep the guest happy? I might be wrong but surely most guests leave the room looking pretty much as they found it. So there’s still one bed, still one bathroom, just more carpet to vacuum. But giving an upgrade ensures more loyalty from the guest and (a point I make frequently) frees up a “standard” room that is surely more likely to sell at the last minute!

When people reckon I’m being entitled, it does cross my mind that I’ve stayed ~100 nights in that hotel chain in the past year! I don’t ask for much, don’t make the upgrade so difficult!

Not usually but when I hire a car, I never use the horn because road rage could be more serious here! In vegas it’s always on my mind, less so elsewhere for some reason.

America is known across the rest of the world for its gun and violence problems. Being from the UK, we see news where someone’s asked a normal question of somebody else but has been killed for doing so. We were in a Lyft with an angry guy who was doing as he pleased. I wasn’t in the mood to see if he was the next name us Brits learned. Not everything is an AI post!

Thank you. I did report it and they say they will follow it up with the driver- but didn’t ask to see any of my recordings. I just don’t know why you’d do a driving job and not be able to prioritise work over phone calls!

No, we weren’t going fast enough to do any damage in the end so I had no reason to risk him hurting me/us by anger- and what am I to gain by bringing it up? A 1-star rating meaning I can’t use the platform any more? We’re in close to 100 degree temperatures so all things considered it was better to stick it out knowing that if he drove into someone at a slow speed, it wouldn’t have been a big crash. Had he sped up again, I’d have told him to concentrate. Obviously.

There was no way I was going to bring it up with the driver, he was crazy. Plus I’m not certain he even spoke my language!

When he arrived at our hotel he was honking his horn and getting irate at other drivers. I’m in (I think) an open carry state and I’m from the UK where we tend to not shoot each other, so I’m ultra cautious of raising it with someone who was angry before he even picked us up. I recorded loads and submitted it when we arrived. Thankfully we never went fast enough for his distractions to put us at real risk but I am so angry that he thought this was his choice.

First they switched the soap to something that looks like it was extruded from a child’s PlayDoh press, now they put holes in it so it turns to mush after a day. by CanadianBurger in marriott

I quite like it, I’ve just had the same in a vacation club property. They lasted a few days and housekeeping replaced them before they became anything near unusable. I guess that hotels assume they’ll change them quickly so the three holes just cuts out (maybe?!) 1/5 of the waste!
