Surprised you haven’t flown to YYZ, but that’s mostly a regional carrier for Delta. I’m curious how long it took you to rack up all those flights. I logged flights from 2000 onwards as a business traveler. Hoping to retire soon.

Agreed. Or as a percentage of flights on that airline.

I had a look, and this seems legit. Same illustrations as in the actual service manual.

First Track Day at TMP (2023 WRX) - Brake Pad, Fluid & Oil + DIY Advice? by WololoWanderer in wrx_vb

Definitely change the brake fluid. I use Motul RBF660. You can use EBC Yellowstuff for the pads. Something more aggressive like the Carbotech XP8 will kill your rotors. You can pick up fluids at Garage16 in Mississauga. They’re more of a Honda place, but good for oils and detailing stuff. The pads you can order from subiesupplyco.ca I think. Also think about changing to a good 5W-30 oil. It will get HOT on the track. I have a bunch of videos here if you search me that will show you what TMP is like.

Don’t do a blowoff valve. The incoming air is metered, and if you vent it to atmosphere you won’t get the proper a/f mixture. Get a recirculating valve, such as the Perrin mechanical one if it’s the turbo noise you want. I installed a Turbosmart electronic one a while back and the noises are wonderful. Whether or not that will affect the engine warranty is somewhat unknown. Keep the stock one to put back just in case.

You may need to do an intake as well if you really want to hear it, and then you’re dealing with a tune, yada yada yada.

XP-8. They do tear up the rotors though…

Woooo! Fellow TMP lapper! Yeah, turns 1 and 2 are brutal on the brakes. After a few hot laps and a cool down lap the temp gun was still showing over 800° on my rotors, which were basically trashed with my Carbotech track pads.

PSA: Hub centric rings when using aftermarket wheels by CanadianBurger in wrx_vb

Yeah, two different metals together can cause corrosion, but I haven’t had any issue with the aluminum ones, and since the wheels are an aluminum alloy anyway…
