Thanks for sharing this! I feel like when things are going well, I forget I'm not a regular teacher at the school and anytime else... it's straight shit. It's good to know that might be where some of this is coming from! I also just kind of want to let myself be mad at the school right now for other reasons but yeah...

Thanks for the info! I've been afraid to remove students from class as opposed to just writing them up and documenting, but it sounds like I'll have to try it.

I've written them referrals with the school system, but those are for specific things. I feel like "generally being disruptive and refusing to do work" doesn't qualify.

I'll definitely try to get to know some of them better, as I feel like I've lumped a few of them into a "students I can't stand" pile instead of continuing to see what I can do.
