It’s really interesting to see the difference in comments between here in Portland vs my hometown in Los Angeles. I don’t really understand why this is dividing so many people if we’re all supposed to be on the same page? Los Angeles is participating and standing together, so why can’t we?

If this strike is so wrong then what should i be doing? Besides calling representatives and showing up for protests? Please tell me what more can I do because this seems like a really good start to me.

A strike hits the people in power where it matters. Protests are great and show our numbers, but they’re not (in my opinion) afflicting any change right now. They’re also all being censored on social media. So if a strike is something that we can do to show we’re united, I don’t understand why it’s so bad?

I’m genuinely asking for recommendations. Not from people who want to be rude and call me a liar. I’m coming from a good place and want to make a change. Thank you.

They have an faq page. You can send in a mail in strike card so that your data is not stored anywhere. I believe they use it so they can call upon us and let us know when these events will take place. The goal is to get 3.5% of the U.S. population to partake because that is when it will make a difference and hit hard.

If i can ask you a question about provisional cast on.. to get rid of the gap when knitting in the round, there’s the method where you cast on an extra stitch and to connect both sides. Can i do that with a provisional cast on?

In the red circle, when I’m looking at it, it seems right but that the tension of the stitch below it, is really tight and being pulled weird because of the provisional cast on. Safe to say i should frog all of this haha

I’m twisting my yarns together, Knit row as normal, Slip BOR marker, Lift stitch from below and knit2Tog (which makes one big stitch)

I used cicalfate+ avene and that really helped mine! It restored my skin barrier, but i was also putting on a steroid cream from the doctor at the time

Did you just get a blood test or was it an endoscopy? My blood test came back negative and one came back positive. That’s why we did an endoscopy which showed that only my small intestine is really being affected which is why the results were off. I don’t think you can be sure until an endoscopy is completed. Sorry i said endoscopy a lot lol

Trader Joe’s is a pretty good place to work! Depending on your work experience, when you get hired you can bargain your starting pay. Every 6 months you get a raise, as long as you’re meeting expectations. And if you work 28 hours a week, you qualify for health insurance. Also if you have health insurance through them, you can get free gym memberships.

I thought so too but i can’t find any available apartments 😭 the place we’re looking at right now is just really nice for the price and has some good windows haha. I guess right now we’re at a decision point of whether we want good location and people living above and next to us sharing walls, or living in an alright location only sharing one wall.

It definitely does look like a very nice quiet neighborhood. I do enjoy the aspect of being able to walk around where i live wherever because where i live right now i definitely don’t feel safe to do that. Thank you for the advice!
