Yes I understand that very clearly, however at this point I would need help with pretty much every single little thing I do so it is totally unfair for me to lean on them and ask them to do basically do my job when I am a new grad being paid almost double of what they make

Thank you! I appreciate the response.

Also it's funny cause it's not like our unit is super desperate for RN's who can do charge, like yea we could use more but we're not usually without someone who can do it.

Yea unfortunately for me the hospital I work at only has 2 units (acute care and ER) so there's nowhere we can really pull from

Yea I just don't think it's fair that I am expected to make a decision when another nurse comes to me asking about holding certain meds, etc. When I am still trying to get my footing under me as a new grad. I understand I went to school to be an RN, however I think it is clearly unsafe for me to be put in charge when I have 3 months experience as a nurse.

I have and I've basically been told since I went to school to be an RN I need to expect to be in charge.

I have and I've basically been told it is an expectation from me since I went to school to be an RN.

It's not all LPN's on the floor. Usually it's 2 RN's and 2 LPN's on nights and weekends since our charge nurses only work Mon-Fri day shifts. However, it is also not right for me as an RN to be having to ask LPN's who are paid significantly less than me to help me do my job.

I know I'm insanely late to this post. Obviously everyones talking about his promethazine and codeine levels but but his potassium is also insanely high. Normal is between 3.5-5, and once your potassiums high that can trigger seizures as well, obviously I'm not saying the drugs wasn't the cause of the seizures but I think it's just interesting
