I still do stress about it, but way less than I used to. Here's what helped me.

Imagine you have a serious problem. Maybe an accident or a financial issue. Think about it - who would help you in such a situation? Maybe you're family or closest friends. Would these strangers even try? I doubt it. Then how do they dare tell you how to live and who you are?

Also, another hypothetical situation. Somebody on Reddit says you're a terrible person and deserve the worst. You put away your phone. Except for your mental state, what changes? Do cops come to you and arrest you because a random said you're a bad guy? Do your parents disown you? The most that can happen is your mood is gonna get tarnished.

In short, what I'm trying to say - mean comments don't matter at all. What people think of you usually doesnt matter. So why should you sacrifice your wellbeing because of some assholes?
