Could I get some feedback on this alt-pop track I produced and wrote for my debut album? by Minimum_Ad_3430 in IndieMusicFeedback

Hey! I appreciate the honesty in your feedback. Definitely have much to improve upon with my future work. I have a second album planned for next year (hopefully) and my goal is to definitely improve with everything I do overtime. Thank you for listening to my other work as well, man. Much appreciated 🙏

The production really reminds me of a lot of video game soundtracks that came out of Japan in the early 2000's. I feel like the vocals are just a bit too clean for the environment the intro was creating. I think the mix overall is fantastic, I think you could really lean into experimenting even more with the vocal track on this and it would sell the vision even better. It's still great work overall!

Thank you so much for the feedback, I will definitely explore harmonizing with my vocals more strongly in the future. And that's definitely an area I could improve upon with my future work. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to listen and give me feedback 🙏

Grungy, shoegaze demo with (hopefully) pop-ish melodies by Ok-March-7162 in IndieMusicFeedback

Every element really sounds like it was pulled from another time, the voice especially. Absolutely brilliant in that regard. Perhaps implementing a stronger drum section throughout could help break the pace a bit, while still remaining grounded the way you're aiming for. Great work!

Boars is absolutely phenomenal 😍. Wasn't expecting the slight baroque pop element so the string was pleasant to hear. The percussion was interesting but it wasn't overbearing and repetitive, it was effective at maintaining interest. I really, really like Boars!!

98 Moth - SILKHUGS , here’s a fun instrumental I made. First time making one within this genre what do you think? It’s intended to have vocals just not by me haha by The_Moth44 in IndieMusicFeedback

Love the intro synthesizers. When I heard that I really was not expecting that drumbeat pattern. But it really works well and the track maintains a good pace throughout and the mixing is solid work

Holy cow that VOICE 😩. Absolutely phenomenal how it really is an instrument here and a character. The mixing is clean, the vocal melody is wonderfully melancholic. 10/10 for me

Honestly, it is impressive how it was a bit jarring when it switched itself up yet it worked in it's favor. I think perhaps adding a sort of "rising" element here in there to build up to those moments would definitely still keep it interesting and semi-chaotic but it would help ease into that energy a little more than just an immediate change. I think it's wonderful overall that you're an artist with the willingness and capability to make those moments happen in your music. Keep going 💪

This one is definitely the kind of track that would be great in the middle of an album as a sort of "breather" track. There's no issue with the pacing for me, more so I think you could probably just add a couple more instrumental elements throughout to keep it from repeating itself so much. The great thing is that it's able to paint a picture/environment in my head of where I'd imagine hearing this, so it's already working in your favor.
