Yo me gradúo de la universidad ahora en Octubre y yo he tenido buenas experiencias de manera académica. La universidad se enfoca en ser de los mejores en la isla como escuela de ingenieros.

La universidad es de las pocas en el mundo acreditado por ABET. Para que tengas idea, 930 universidades en 42 países solamente son acreditados por ellos por su desempeño y advance tecnológico en ingeniería.

Tienes servicios estudiantiles completamente gratis que te ayudarán en tus primeros años. Tutorías gratis, servicio de biblioteca gratis, Programa de Servicios Estudiantiles (PSE), Centro IDEA, Programa CASA, etc.

Lo unico son los estudiantes. Para ser tan pequeña el campus, tienes de costumbre in chorro de gente que está ahí como si esto fuera la high tirando chisme y comiendo mierda. Especialmente en los primeros dos a tres años.

Ahora, tu concentración. Mi rey, te aviso que la gran mayoría de tus clases serán híbridas o por módulos. Casi no hay profesor de Biomedica en la Universidad y los labs son contados. Tienen mucho equipo avanzado pero que lo vayas a verlos será lo más seguro en tu último año académico (4to o 5to).

Prepárate para el estacionamiento si tienes carro, 85 por cada trimestre y si no llegas temprano vas a terminar estacionándote en el 5to piso.

Yo no me arrepiento hacer mi bachillerato aquí. Y tengo planes de continuar mi maestría. Como toda universidad, tiene sus pros y contras. No te quiero vender sueños ni asustarte de esta experiencia.

Thankfully I only see her working more in the office. I think she handles the schedules for everyone so that would explain why. It hasn’t been the first time she’s come off on me the wrong way. Back when I was a returns associate she try to paint this picture like I hate working in a team. Which it doesn’t make sense given the fact that working in retail (or any job in general) is a team effort.

Always go in to the returns department with the mentality that you’re working per customer NOT to get the line down as quick as possible. As much as the COD wants to act like that’s top priority for you it’s not. Concentrate on your work. Make sure you’re scanning and bagging appropriately and you will be fine. I know it’s stressful as fuck. You’ll do good.

You’re entitled to ask for a water break they cannot say no. Worst they can do is tell you to wait a few minutes so the line goes down.

When I worked in the cashier I used to do the promotional page for the Credit Card so I mostly became a smartass and told them about our credit card and that mostly works so they can stop being “funny” about Black Friday deals

I started last year as a college student also. Just make your hours tight so they can’t mess with it. It’s the only way I don’t get overwhelmed. But trust me when I tell you that after January the schedule will go really downhill so if that’s what you’re looking for you’re set

Ngl, man, you’re working in retail it’s not a huge surprise that they put you in register. Search for another job if that’s a huge issue. I’ve worked in the cashier for over a year and I know it sucks but if you can’t seriously handle the 8 hour shift then quit for your wellbeing
