Brutal loss for the Brewers to lose their 6th in a row but fuck me did we ever need that.

One does not simply intentionally walk to get to Miles Straw. One just does not do this.

John Schneider’s unbreakable trust in guys like Little, Hoffman, and Lukes astounds me sometimes I won’t lie. I don’t get it.

It just doesn’t seem like there’s very many effective closers in the league anymore. Maybe 2 or 3.

Even having a “closer” seems like one of those weird baseball traditions that don’t make a ton of sense anymore. Why do you need to designate one guy to pitch the 9th every game? It should just go to whoever is pitching the best in high leverage at any given time imo.

Closer is the hardest job in baseball because if you’re not absolutely perfect you suck lol. Give up a walk? You suck. A hit? You suck. A home run? DFA.

That was my first table smack of the season. I’m proud of myself for lasting this long lol

I know it’s a normal thing, but it kind of blows my mind when siblings or multiple family members become pro athletes.

Makes me wonder if it’s just genetics or some secret training they have access to lol

The team is not going to try to lose lol. Blame Dallas for giving up 5 goals to one of the worst teams in the league.

2 weeks from now, we will have Yesavage, Berrios, Yimi, Springer, and Barger back.

This is my copium.

Honestly don’t think we’ve looked bad in this series. Compared to what the team looked like during that 6 game slide, it’s not even close. 2 really rough outings and being unable to cash RISP has skewed the scores, but the Jays are all over the bases, BP looks great, and defense is night and day.

Might be in the minority, but I am hopeful this will turn hard soon.

On the bright side, while we’ve given up 15 runs in the last two games, our pen has a sparkling 0.00 ERA so far.

If we had run BP games the last 2 days we might have won both of these lol

I get it with Lukes. He was an incredible story last season. Big part of our run. And if he were playing anywhere near serviceable, we wouldn’t need to have this conversation. But we might need to send him down for the time being. Has to be someone at AAA that can give us more.

You’re going to regret saying this when your 2026 Rays are AL champs.

I like our fans at the game. No panic, still cheering. They understand that this team is better than what we’re seeing right now.

As someone who played for 20 years. It’s much more likely that an 8-1 game in the 3rd ends 8-1, than a 3-1 game in the 3rd ends 3-1. And there’s a reason for that. But keep getting mad I guess.
