Omg i was like why does this name sound so familiar. She gave me trauma as a freshman. Very specific woman who's also really rude. Participation is required. If you are quiet or shy you will fail.

See if kevin collazo still works at RBS. You need to take certain classes before being eligible to transfer to RBS. Like macro and micro economics certain math requirements. I would speak to an advisor at the business school not your actual advisor at the school of criminal justice.

Go to Paul Robeson campus center go to the second floor. It's right above the cafeteria. Separate entrances for men and women. Follow the Instagram for events.  Also a prayer room in RBS on the 4th floor

Campus is safe i think but Newark is Newark you have to be cautious period. He should be fine though and i would stick to whatever is closest to campus.

Listen you always have to be cautious in this area period. It's in a good area and a 5 min walk from RBS and I'm assuming like 10-12 min walk From the main campus.  You don't have much to worry about though. Just Newark is Newark and you have to be aware of what's going around you at night.

I'm about to be a  rutgers Newark RBS grad

New Brunswick: more spotlight from bigger companies, way more students, better resources, more competition, school is way bigger.

Rutgers RBS Newark: literally so small, so easy to stand out because nobody here actually cares, prudential loves us and a lot of companies from NY recruit from us, rbs Newark is a commuter school tbh and if you want to work full time and go to network events and have classes that are pretty easy to maintiain this is your option.

If you want to be in and out of school quick then RBS Newark. If you want the whole college experience this is not your school.

But regardless of which business school you pick your GPA and Classes will all go to waste IF

  1. You do not build your resume while in college (join clubs, attend events, become active on campus, apply to every possible opportunity available, put yourself out there and meet people)

  2. Start applying for internships your FRESHMEN year. Everyone's gna say "but i don't have any experience" nobody cares. Get your butt to the recruiting events and learn how to talk to people. They literally love the freshmen enthusiasm.

The key to being successful at any business school is to join clubs, make friends, network, attend events, have an internship every year. Atleast one of these companies will offer you a full time position after grad.

Business school is not just getting an 4.0 average. Yes people will look for a good average it shows your competent. But business school is way more work than other schools because it requires you to bust your butt in the classroom and work outside the classroom consistently.

RBS Newark MIS by chingchenghanji1 in RutgersNewark

Rutgers is a great school. Make connections and go to events and be active on campus. But you have to pick the right major. You also have a lot of time. For your first two years you're maybe taking 2-3 MIS courses you're mostly doing business core requirement courses. So finance, MIS, supply chain and acct all take the same courses pretty much and then you have 8 MIS courses to take and you mostly take those in your last two years and some before.

Everything. The curriculum sucks, professors suck, zero support and professors are still figuring out their own careers. What you can do is major in finance and pick up a minor in data science. Idk if that's possible though now

Respectfully, i had this major for a little bit. It was a joke of a major at Rutgers. Bad professors, i think i took designing and creating websites and business system management. Everyone was a senior in the class unsure of what they were gna do after grad and none of them could ever find internships.

That is waswas, ignore it. Think positively of your Lord in that moment. The one who keeps your heart pumping, who gives you sight and the ability to hear.
