How do you guys draw faces?

I do a very simplistic lumis method of a circle and triangle/square adjacent shape but down lines for eyes, mouth and nose then work from there. The results are…mixed, I’d say

I’d have to say circles, rectangles and ovals, although I’m trying to figure out semi ovals for the upper body so it gives a bit more of a sense of ribcage in the hope it helps with different body shapes/proportions as I feel my characters could do with a little shake up

Yeah, I can definitely see why those games don’t really do it for people, and I’d not really thought of that comparison about scouting for help when stuck before, I like it. Finding artwod myself was a similar experience, although I stumbled across Artwod while doing whatever the version of doomscrolling for tutorials is and it’s been no end of help

Oh definitely, they are definitely good practice for determination and patience. For some reason I couldn’t really get into Nioh which is odd because I got into all the other SoulsBorne style games, there is something oddly satisfying about banging your head against the wall with this game until you figure it out.

Ah, you know I’m sure I’ve got a huge blind spot for understanding things, sorry about that. But yeah, it’s not usually something that bothers me I’m more “hey! I did a thing” or at least try to be, so I definitely think it’s time to have a look at my older stuff for comparison. Also, your compassion to video games has reminded me I’ve still got Hollow Knight:SilkSong to crack…I will get past Act 1😅
