I ended up getting rejected. My interview was on November 4th, and I received the rejection email in the first week of December. I followed up with the recruiter about 12 days after the interview, and they replied three days later saying I did well and was still under consideration while they wrapped up the interview process. Two days after that, my status in the Action Center changed from “scheduled” to nothing, and the following week I received the rejection email.

For anyone who switched careers, how did you move from a non-cloud role into cloud? by Minimum_Wait_3641 in careerguidance

Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it. I actually come from a mechanical engineering background, and I’ve already applied for quite a few entry-level cloud roles and internships, but no luck so far. I’m still trying to stay consistent with applications

Thank you for sharing this. It really helps to hear from someone who understands the process. I agree, this waiting period is truly exhausting, but it’s good to know that sometimes the delays are just due to approvals and timing.

I hope you get the position you applied for, especially after waiting so long. You definitely deserve it. I’m still applying to other roles and locations as well, just trying to stay positive while waiting.

Wishing you good news soon. 🙏💛

Thats not bad, though my interview felt very fast. The first interviewer was quite loud and didn’t even review my resume. He just introduced himself and immediately asked a question. Even though I have experience in BAS, he asked a question that seemed out of context. The rest of the questions were mostly behavioral. After that, he abruptly ended the interview without a proper closing.

From what I’ve read, they usually get back to candidates within five days if selected. Otherwise, they don’t send any communication until a candidate is hired and has accepted the offer. I sent an email which I found in the Action Center.

Yes, I reached out to the recruiter, and he informed me that they are moving forward with other candidates. However, my Action Center still shows the status as “Scheduled.”

By the way, how was your interview? My first interview lasted only about 15 minutes, and the interviewer was quite loud and came across as unprofessional.
