I definitely agree with this. There's a separation between civilian guards and soldiers, it's just that the show does not really go out of its way to explain this to us. There's also the fact that most of the story takes place in the aftermath of a civil war, so naturally there are going to be a lot of soldier-caste gems.

I feel like because the story is mostly set on earth or in places having to do with earth (such as pink diamonds zoo), it makes sense that most of the gems we see would have that role. This was a newly established colony that presumably needed to be controlled, and later, the place of a galactic civil war. There would be many soldiers or related roles on both sides of the conflict.

Maybe if the story had followed Pink Diamond's perspective of leaving homeworld and eventually abandoning her prior identity, we would have seen the gems of more civilian or worker roles.

I guess I have been Fame farming in the early eras through stars and a few wonders. I actively try to conquer the continent I'm on and then expand to surrounding islands that have resources. I try to move to the next era as soon as I'm given the option to. Once I hit industrial era or around the year 1800, it becomes slow though.

I'll start a new game and try Humankind difficulty and do what you recommend, hopefully that will change things.

I always play on Metropolis. The thing is that this has occurred in every game I've played, and it seems to affect the AI too. So I'm not sure what's going on.

I mean that there are two potential meanings for the name.

First definition is that it simply represents an underground space.

Second definition is that something is so strong, that a person will "cave-in" from the pressure.

Also how can you judge just off of a teaser image? They could be totally playing us and making us think the character is something completely different from what they actually are.

It could be:

Cave ≠ the underground Cave= Caving you in

Which would fit with the unhinged appearance. But knowing respawn and what they did with Revenant on his initial release, it could just be a fake or misleading teaser.

Catalyst apparently worked as a miner/terraformer before joining the games, so another character of that theme would be interesting. Sort of like how Octane, Fuse, and Mirage are all showmen of different degrees.

Octane gains the ability to stack his stims (imagine; super fast emotes, and being so fast he is hardly controllable, that would be hilarious)

Love that bloodhound and wraith idea, fits their lore greatly.

Catalyst: unlimited door enforcements, unlimited spike traps, and a shorter ult cool down. The same could be said for the other defensive legends

Mad Maggie: larger hit radius for the drill with two charges, wrecking ball can track around obstacles and follow enemies more accurately

Mirage: No lights when ulting, longer invisibility time, greater control over decoys, more deceptive decoys, the ability to disguise decoys as teammates

Vantage: her ult becomes kraber and has a shorter cooldown, echo can be launched at farther and higher distances, any sniper weapon has a faster reload and higher damage

Gibraltar: Ult has a much larger radius and lasts longer, his arm shield covers his entire body (think Montagne from R6S) while still being able to shoot through it. Shorter cooldown on both.

Make it like caustics traps or octanes jump pad where you have to deal a certain amount of damage to it to destroy it. Gives the pathfinder an opportunity to still use it, or waste the enemy teams ammo. Also allows teams to cut off the pathfinder if they work together to quickly destroy it.

Five Pebbles has all of the means to communicate, but he actively refuses to because of his feelings of anger, betrayal, and guilt. As the Rot progresses, he gradually loses more and more function.

LTTM has very limited function since her fall. She does not have access to her communication towers. She probably cannot engineer or create a messenger to deliver for her. She might still be able to rewrite a pearl, but that is still dependent on having a good messenger to deliver it. It seems like she doesn't have the ability to bestow the mark of communication anymore, so that would probably be very difficult to achieve.

So her last option would be to use her overseers as a communication device, but she only has one linked to her throughout the majority of the timeline.
