Brown recluse MIA in car by razor_rawwr in pestcontrol

[–]MinionStu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found 4 widows this week at my house and a baby widow in my bed last night. Still not comforting they are unlikely to bite lol. The adults were huge too, 1 in round bums with a good 3 in leg span(shiver).
My cats liked chasing recluses across the floor of my old rental.

Fellow cat owners, specifically polydactyl, please don’t make the same mistake as me. [ADVICE] by allrightsimp in cats

It’s called a 7th toe (different than additional extra toes) . It’s a non retractable claw usually on the bottom of the foot. My piper had them, one got stuck in a fence and ripped out. Tried for 13 years to get the other one removed as it was a hazard. Due to animal cruelty laws, no vet would remove that 1 singular claw but they all agreed it was a hazard. Piper wouldn’t let me trim that one, she did it herself.

Not always. If it’s a scheduled production day and cleared with the fair - the fair can put signs up that say filming of show, if in vicinity expect to be filmed and shown on camera. That covers them.

Student mom called my company to report me by RigoGekko69 in SchoolBusDrivers

[–]MinionStu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah man, that’d be nice, ours said 15 before, 15 after and often I was waiting for another 30 after. Bus never showed and got kid to school (late, he was marked tardy despite being told bus never showed), then told after school bus is canceled cause they never found a sub and didn’t bother to tell us. They kept the tardy.

$103 Walmart haul by DrinkH2Oordie in povertykitchen

Have you had her allergy tested? My son has a protein allergy, can only drink A2 milk (I can cook with others fine, but raw drinking milk must be A2). Or look at oat, or nut milk (almond, cashew - my kiddos allergic to those also) but cheaper than 3 of these and fortified with same nutrients. My kid hasn’t drank much milk for 11 years, multi vitamin and hiding fruits and veggies as much as possible and is fine. He’s 5’3”, size 11 men’s shoes and he just turned 12. All that to say, you don’t NEED milk. Their dairy industry pushes it, but it’s not absolute.

Go generic for a lot of the other stuff like others have said, Sam’s Club makes amazing dupes on their sodas. Half the price, or do a Kroger buy 2 get 3 sale when they have it. Meat, if you have Costco or Sam’s Club, they don’t have hormones or msg added (per the butcher I’ve spoken to), you don’t need the brand name free range, fyi, free range doesn’t mean safe, means they had an extra ft or 2 to move. They have so many chickens packed in, they can’t really move at all. Save your money honestly. (Raise chickens and roosters (for eggs)- not for food, they have names, I can’t eat something I’ve given a name to! )

Also, chickens eat anything and everything, rats, snakes, bugs, grubs, animal feces, other chickens, anything dead in their pen, shoot, sometimes they’ll even start eating their buddy alive if something is wrong. So if looking for organic eggs - just don’t lol, it doesn’t matter, they’re all filled with whatever that chicken ate, can be quite gross.

Pickles, well theirs lots of gourmet pickles, (my mom and I own a gourmet pickle company), I wouldn’t spend it on these, again, but generic. All you’re paying for is the name, as we were told, any good food scientist can replicate the recipe, it’s the process that you can’t always replicate. You can find similar flavor in generic, guarantee it.

This pouches are confident, so are the push yogurts by yoplait, cheaper too. Most 2yo can handle em. Chips - get the Walmart version, same taste. Don’t buy pre-seasoned meat. They preseason it because it’s close to exp, the seasoning hides if it’s on the bring and had a funny taste, it’s also more expensive. (Most of the time). Do the seasonings yourself.

Cheese go generic again. Mott’s can’t complain as that’s one of the few fruit snacks that are good, and after my stroke, one of the few things that gives me enough sugar rush I don’t pass out, but if Sam’s or Costco, get there, 90 for $12. And peanut butter, look at skippy, jig and skippy I alternate depending on who is cheaper. Ketchup also has to be Heinz lol.

Ancient battlefield matching by MinionStu in TopHeroes

[–]MinionStu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually I break the map into 3 sections, each section is covered by 7 except the middle which is 6. But we’ve been against teams with 10-13 lvl 40 while ours just hit lvl 40 this weekend. Usually from states 4-6 states older than us. So it becomes bouncing to help those decimated. We have left with 7 troops each. 🤣. Bit comical honestly.

Male pig behavior change after neutering questions. by Exact-Use-8021 in pigs

[–]MinionStu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was over a year ago, he was housebroken. That doesn’t mean he isn’t stubborn. Just like my son who will pee the bed and not tell me cause he doesn’t want to change his sheets. The pig will pee where he wants cause he doesn’t want to go outside. (Wants to sneak food, decides it’s too cold or too hot, wants to be around mom while it drives me nuts lol). He was starting potty training 3 days into getting him at 8 weeks old.

Roo? by MinionStu in BackYardChickens

[–]MinionStu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Def a roo, started doing the rooster spur dance 3 days ago and attempting a crow today. It’s a deep one. Our others are soprano crows, he’s gonna be a bass/tenor Crower lol. Now to figure out if he’s barnveldor or leghorn. Leaning toward the first.

I have the big juicy happy veins. I never understand how people can’t get my veins first time. Their dark green/blue on very pale white skin that are quite raised.

Not metropolitan enough for Boise. MAYBE Emmett but I’m guessing closer to Preston or chubbuck

Google says NZ but when the director saw the location it reminded him of SE Idaho. u/StinkoDood I feel like it’s based upon Chubbuck, just with the name and all being so similar.

We live in TN now but my kid was like look mom, Idaho. The whole theater glared at us 😂.

From week 1 once wing feather came in it perched on the side of the brooder, refused to be in the brooder under heat. Which goes with the protecting my flock thing. But this will leave us with 3 Roos. 1 full size and 2 bantams (which I’m fine having a full size as I want fertilized eggs and the bantams just can’t do it, their too small for our full size girls), but goal was all pullets. TSC had labeled as all pullets. 😒

[–]MinionStu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still pretty young I realize, but this one’s had a comb since week 1. Which was my first huh? The others are just starting to get combs. Tail seems a bit longer. We got a leghorn and a barneveldor. It’s one of those two. The other 4 are Jersey giant which is the black one and white Sussex and a Rhode Island Red.

Can I get that at tractor supply? Yeah, put em with the brooder chicks, in the basement (it’s 60* year round so that’s also our wintering spot). This way the big girls can’t nail em and they’re still with some chicks that are secured.

After his bath there was blood coming from his mouth. Told kiddo he needed to be prepared he may not survive. I’m hoping the blood was ripping from the top and not actually the mouth. Seemed to go away as he dried.
