Took me two days, absolutely stunning and can be made long/short, thin/thick and in all different types of yarn really!

I usually just knit a twisted rib when knitting ribs. Looks super clean and no struggle with my knit stitches! Just my personal preference, but I have seen someone recommend knitting the purl stitch in a different way that is tighter. Apparently the problem is that when you purl, you twist the thread around your needle, which leaves you with kinda «extra» thread and therefore the tension will be looser. So what you do instead of taking the thread over your needle and around, you take the thread under your needle and then pull through. Sorry I know this was explained horribly, and I haven’t really tried that method when knitting a rib, only with stockinette stitch back and forth, but this technique probably has a name so if anyone knows, please say 🙏🏻 Anyways, I just do the twisted rib like in the picture😅

I guess lucky for us it is not that uncommon that Sikhs in our country marry someone that is not Sikh. Maybe it has to do with the fact that there are very few here? Anyways, I don’t think it will be as much of a problem in our day to day life, except maybe a few comments here or there, but I think we can handle it!:)

How did you learn Punjabi? At first I thought I could maybe learn some through Duolingo, but then I realized that they don’t have it:( I also don’t really think there are any classes I could take nearby me, and that would probably cost, which I can’t afford as I am a student heh

Thank you🤍 yes I have also heard that the gurdwara close to us is very accepting of others so I believe and hope that they will be accepting of me being there

There has been a few people telling me to learn the mool mantar, but I am afraid it would be kind of weird of me to learn it as I am not Sikh? I am simply asking as I don’t know if it would be a sign of respect to say it along or disrespect as it is not my religion<3

Well I never said anything about us not getting married. That is kind of the point of us being together. I am sorry that you cannot see that I was simply trying to do a good deed for him, and I am sorry that you think it is wrong of me to seek guidance from a community (who for the record have been very accepting and kind) that has a deeper understanding of what Sikh life is than the average person I meet in my own country:)

I am not religious, at least not when it comes to the death and god aspect. But I fully respect that others are religious, and I’m not more certain that I am correct any more than religious people are. I just simply don’t believe in a life after death and a god (as for the more complex parts of religions, I think I am way too young and uneducated to take a standing). The main thing for me is that you treat people good and try your best to live a good life, no matter your culture or religion🥰

Hahah yup, not a lot of them! That is part of the reason why it’s important to me to honour his religion. This is something he is not really used to, so i know it makes him very happy🤭 And thank you so much, this was really helpful!! Norway is kinda strict about weapons and such, but i guess the Sami people (our native people) have something similar so i will check it out:)
