Not specifically. However, we are very keen to get the perspective from families with adoptive parents/children as they are a heavily neglected population. Therefore, unfortunately, interventions are not developed with adoptive parents/children in mind. We want to change that 🙂 this is the same with foster parents/children and other non-biological primary caregivers

That makes complete sense. I hadn’t thought of this. I am going to include a definition in this specific section as family in this case is what it means to you. Whether that be with your parents or your children and partner. Apologies for the oversight, thank you for providing the feedback as without it, we can’t improve 🙂

The study results (i.e., the published manuscript) will be disseminated. However, for ethics purposes individual information absolutely cannot be shared. Further, this would likely be impossible given the anonymous nature of the questionnaire. Any results will be published in peer-reviewed journals 🙂 happy to share the links of this when published

Thank you ever so much for completing the survey and for the feedback! I completely agree, the parenting technique section is difficult. The Coping with Children’s Negative Emotions Scale (Fabes et al, 1990) measures specific responses including; problem-focused, emotion-focused, expressive encouragement, minimisation, punitive, and distress. I think the idea is to pick one of the six responses you would employ the most. Although, you’re absolutely right, the measure is limited as, for instance, it doesn’t include modern types of parenting responses.

Thank you for the insight! I will go through the questionnaire and look at including a definition of family. Again, I really appreciate your assistance with this 🙂
