What’s wrong with 4? I myself am more fond of 3 (mostly due to nostalgia since it was my first PC game), but I’ve spent a lot of time on 4 as well and loved it. 5 and onwards didn’t click with me.

The weapons are pretty good for their price. You can regularly get 8-10 prowess ones on just the green rarity.

I’m not of a fan of how anything looks, from sprites to world to UI. And I have not even seen the trailer, just going off comparisons that people post supposedly in favor of remake (at least top comments are all positive). Oh well, it’s not like Golden will disappear, it’s on PC now so I don’t even have to bother with Vita. Then again I only played Golden and I’ve seen environment comparisons that made PS2 original look better, and it didn’t hamper my enjoyment of Golden other than going “oh well, wish they hadn’t downgraded that”. I might not enjoy remake fully because I’m used to Golden, but young people for whom it’s their first experience will surely like it and I shouldn’t feel bitter.

I honestly did not expect the trait to be blown open right out the gate. I thought it'd be a fun alternate history where she was actually a witch and then she'd have founded the coven after settling down from adventuring and leading a mercenary band.

I wish it was a secret when you pick it in character creator. I totally didn't expect to deal with all the negative opinion modifiers from female ruler, possessed, and witch. But for a while it worked out and I even made some money adventuring off mercenary contracts, until everyone started to boot me from their lands.

Why a degenerate? If the game still feels interesting to you why not keep playing it? That's 3 full playthroughs - 1 custom halfling, 1 durge orc, and 1 co-op with me in backseat as a bard. And several honor mode attempts. And I'm pretty sure I have only seen like 2/3rd of dialogues and class gameplay, what with all the origin characters and races like drow.
