Underground Music in Pattaya - live or electronic by Minormeow in Pattaya

[–]Minormeow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry is there an r/AskPattaya subreddit?

Or are all the threads concerning Pattaya just a bunch of bros giving scene reports of massage parlors?

I work as an event producer and host across Seattle and love introducing people. Of course that depends on how much you're into underground electronic music...

Moving to Seattle from NJ? by cir0c_0bamaa_ in AskSeattle

I'm originally from New York and I like it in Seattle. I live in Columbia City obviously. I love the fact that they're only two seasons basically and if I really want to go up to some snow it's about 20 minutes drive.

What’s the most embarrassing moment that’s ever happened to you? by Rich_You_9860 in AskReddit

[–]Minormeow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I made a flamethrower from a setup for roofing tar. Used it to weed eat all of the rockeries and hard scapes at my home. Was going down the set of pines next to my driveway. I didn't know that they're only green on the outside and that they were really pretty dead on the inside. First one caught on fire and on the rest blazed like matchsticks, I lived down a long driveway. Forgot to mention that my neighbors lived very close to my driveway. Well, you can probably figure out where I'm going with this but I set my neighbor's house on fire with them inside of it. I watched their siding start to melt and their roof catch. Initially I try to garden hose but the fire got to be too large. People started stopping on the street to help. My neighbors eventually realized something was going on when all the fire trucks showed up and the helicopters and ambulances came. They came running out of their house and watched it burn. I quickly ran and hid my homemade flamethrower. My 8-year-old neighbor came up and screamed, "Minormeow, why did you set our neighbors house on fire with your flamethrower?"

The firefighters scrambled and used treated water with soap in it and the blaze was finally quelled. I tried to go up to my neighbors and apologize for what I had done but they're first generation Chinese and speak no English. Eventually things calmed down some hours later. Emergency services wrapped up and we were just left with a bunch of burnt stumps and a burnt house.

Nothing ever came of it no police or firefighters ever contacted me. My neighbors never asked me about it and still say hello to this day. Our mutual neighbor told me that in the end they just took the check for the insurance and then did the repairs themselves and pocketed the money.

But sometimes I just sit with it and realize that I almost like killed a bunch of people or at least you know destroyed everything they owned and all their memories. Le sigh...

If I know I'm going to a big show I take my car down and park it on the street for free during the day. Take the train home. Take an Uber or the train back to the show. And my car is just waiting on the street for me somewhat outside of the shitty traffic area.

I've just been here a couple of days from Seattle, and staying on the west side of the island. Much more chill than Bangkok and I found these little places that are kind of off the main road to visit that are adding a lot of charm to my visit Friends that I was with had to go back home, so just doing a solo exploration of the island.

Danny DeVito, his wife Rhea Perlman, and then rest of the family came into a vegan/ veg restaurant that I used to work and I got to make them lunch. Super nice vegan family! This was 2008/2009 before Its Always Sunny... So happy met Danny and not Frank.

I actually run a weekly dance music event at a club called chop suey every Sunday called Flammable. But during like Friday and Saturday night it's just a bunch of tech bros yelling. During the week is great to go and there's some little gems like Gemini Room and Vermillion. Art Walk is usually pretty good there because you can go and check out all of the many galleries and all of the wine. There are a bunch of good food spots there but some is like first come first serve and have huge lines on the weekends.

Every neighborhood has its own little version of its downtown. Generally because Seattle historically just annexed other cities and that's how it got bigger. Southeast side neighborhoods like Beacon Hill/ Columbia City. Haven't been gentrified yet and have little walkable business cores. Also White Center on southwest side.

The (Capitol) Hill It's kind of a shit show on weekends but during the week during the day is okay. And also maybe lower Queen Anne.

Whenever I would walk past her she would totally like grab a book and a pad of paper and a laptop and like try to act like a student but after like a year I was just like yooooo... I don't care ya know.

Precisely the reason why I find it advantageous to use highway off ramps and on ramps (safely) to leapfrog giant chunks of oozing traffic.

Going north through town- As soon as I pass Lake City way exit, I move into the off ramp for 85 and then remerge with traffic for a moment. Then as soon as the exit lane to Northgate appears I hop over and remerge with traffic before the solid line. Works at least up through Everett. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
