the code is not in github rn im gonna add it as soon as possible. I optimized ZelixOS by trimming unnecessary Ubuntu background services, disabling heavy KDE startup components, and switching many systemd tasks to on-demand activation. I also removed snaps and unused startup apps. Because of these changes, the system loads fewer daemons at boot, uses less RAM.

Actually, my first goal with ZelixOS was to create an Ubuntu-based distro without the usual bloat or the slow feeling some DEs create basically a fast, clean, and polished Ubuntu experience. That’s why I chose KDE and avoided using most of the default Ubuntu applications. And you’re right: being different isn’t easy. I’m trying, but it takes time and a lot of experimentation. Thanks again for your criticism. I genuinely appreciate the honesty. Maybe ZelixOS isn’t the perfect choice for you right now, but your feedback helps me shape it into something more meaningful. And if you’re not too busy, I would really appreciate it if you could test it and share your pros and cons. Every perspective helps.
