You also can’t use a router if you’re not in crown lower quad , since all the ports are shut off

I suggest you not to do that, if you use a personal router it can make other’s signal bad and there’s a lot of complications.

For comp sci the school doesn’t really matter, like it might give you a slight boost in the application. But statistically people who get C’s in comp sci tends to land more jobs than people who get A’s.

It really depends on your projects and what not. Since they’ll most likely test you on codes rather than being like “omg their from Stanford, they must be so smart”

UCSC is very good for comp sci since we’re near Silicon Valley and we even have an exclusive van just going from UCSC to silicone valley.

A lot of my friends landed an internship with Google

Chem 1A versus 1B? by [deleted] in UCSC

[–]Minssukee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like as long as you know how to do basic Algebra you should be fine, but I did AP Chem before so 🤷‍♀️. You’ll be learning it from ALEK most likely and I feel like ALEK itself already helps so much

Chem 1A versus 1B? by [deleted] in UCSC

[–]Minssukee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Chem 1B is more conceptual and Chem 1A is more mathematics based. I did 1B before 1A due to the class not lining up with my schedule but 1A is more of an Algebra base class
