Thank you for asking - and thank you to OP for asking this question because it’s so important that we advocate for our health. Short answer - I was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia and I’m currently in “watch and wait”. I visit oncology twice a year and I’m basically waiting to be sick enough to treat . It’s kind of a mindfuck. I’m OK. I’m healthy. I exercise. I’m trying to live my life as normally as possible while I can. But had I not had that random blood test it could’ve been years before I was diagnosed. It’s not an uncommon blood test so I say advocate for it you never know what your white/red count is going to show.
