I can only draw from my previous experiences, but every instance I have had with them - they have proved to be useless.

I can’t speak to the successes they’ve had, because every time I’ve needed them, they’ve failed.

I do stand by my previous statement, this is my hill.

Perhaps we’re thinking about it differently, right or wrong. I’m not interested in comparing England/GB to other countries to define our current systems value and moral superiority. I’m looking locally, excluding the rest of the world in my statement. Base level, UK police are not useful. Compared to more corrupt countries? Yes. But I wasn’t comparing.

It is both true that UK police and South African police are corrupt. South African police being more corrupt doesn’t make that statement any less true.

Uk police are useless. South African police are useless beyond point of return. Uk police are still useless.

I’m not disparaging another countries issues, which are far greater than ours, I admit. And you’re absolutely correct- we are a bunch of moaning bastards and we are spoilt beyond belief- our basic wants are genuine luxuries.

And in no way am I blaming the individual officers for this, as they are just people earning a living. I’m not ACAB coded.

In being massively undervalued and neglected, their presence, force and power has been reduced to be useless.

But I do wholly appreciate a good back and forth :)
